Penalties: Football League
Questions, bugs, or an idea for the game — write to karachevpavel@icloud.com. It helps to say which device you are on and which division you were in when something went wrong.
Tap the goal to aim, then tap again to set the power. The power bar decides the height as well as the pace: only a firm strike lifts the ball up under the bar, and a soft one stays low no matter where you aimed. Hit it too hard and it goes wide of the post.
Watch the striker's run-up. It leans towards the corner they have picked — but a good striker will sell you a dummy, so it is a read, not a guarantee. Tap the third of the goal you want to cover, and your keeper commits at the moment the ball is struck. You can also stay put and cover the middle by not tapping at all.
From the fourth division upwards, the side alone is not enough: you have to read the height as well. A firm strike can go high, a soft one cannot, so the run-up tells you something about that too. The hint after the kick says whether you missed on the side or on the height.
You start in the sixth division against five rivals and play each of them once. Finish first and you are promoted to the fifth, and so on up to the first. Each division brings a better class of keeper. Your progress is saved automatically — closing the app mid-season loses nothing.
Yes. Quick Match plays a single shootout against any class of keeper with nothing riding on it, and Training drills just the kicking or just the saving, for as long as you like. Neither one touches your league table.
Open How to Play from the question-mark icon on the main menu, or from the pause screen during a match. It covers the kick, the save, the shootout and the season, and it stays available for good.
Both are in Settings, behind the gear icon on the main menu. The game is available in 33 languages, and the language list opens as its own screen.
Tap CAREER on the main menu and choose to start again. You will be asked to confirm, because it clears the season and puts you back in the sixth division.
No. There are no ads between matches, no energy bar, and no purchases. See the privacy policy — the app collects nothing either.
